August 8..The Forestiere Underground Gardens were dug over a 40 year period by Forestiere. 70 acres of underground chambers filled with every thing from living quarters, gardens for everything from orange trees to a strawberry tree, over 20 different crops in all...an aquarium you could sit under and watch the fish through a pane of glass..to a fish pond.
